Technique Focused Workshop Opportunities
Designing with Fusible
Glass Accessories
2-Day Technique Workshop -- Learn numerous ways to use fusible glass accessories to make your own sheet glass, Frit components and create one of a kind pieces. Lot of ideas will be demonstrated and attendees will make a studio sampler, several smaller demo pieces and a portrait made with Stringers. Super fun workshop and perfect for fusing artists of all skill levels.
Frit Shading & Painting (SOLD OUT)
2-Day Technique Workshop -- Learn how to create glass paintings that incorporate dramatic lighting and 3-D realism by using patterns, sheet glass, numerous shades of Frit and glass paints. Using this technique the artist develops their painting over the course of several kiln firings. Absolutely no prior painting knowledge or experience is needed to achieve success with this technique, but glass cutting skills are very helpful. We will additionally cover other painting styles and techniques that I use in some of my pieces. Each attendee will create two, or more paintings in this workshop.

Scandia has designed and led dozens of workshops through the years and still teaches glass fusing technique workshops off-site, by special request.
